Which languages do captions work in?

PopSub automatically turns Turkish, English and German speech into captions. For Turkish, there are extra improvements for proper names.

How does free usage work?

You get 5 minutes of free captions every calendar month; unused free minutes don’t roll over to the next month. If you need more, Pro is available in the app with monthly and yearly plans and gives you 200 minutes of captions every month (on the yearly plan, too, it’s 200 minutes every month). You can also buy a one-time 20-minute pack. Prices are shown in the App Store in your currency.

Where are my videos uploaded?

Nowhere. Your videos and projects stay on your device. To create captions, only the audio of your video is sent to our server, and the audio file is deleted from our server within a few minutes after the captions are done. When you delete your account, your remaining data on our server is deleted too. For details, see our Privacy Policy.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are managed through Apple: on your iPhone, go to Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions, select PopSub and cancel. Refund requests are also handled through Apple.

How do I delete my account?

In the app, use the Delete account button on the Account screen to permanently delete your account and your data on our server. If you run into any trouble, email us.
